Indivisible Crosstown (Bloomington/Richfield/Edina Minnesota)
Afternoon of Community & Action (Families Welcome!) June 8th Noon-2:00
The Trump administration continues to escalate its attack on working families, slashing funding for schools, libraries, healthcare programs, food banks, parks, and other community resources that support parents, guardians, and their children.
We want something better for our families, our cities, and ourselves. We’re a small group of Bloomington, Richfield, and Edina residents committed to:
building community with our neighbors;
coordinating action with other Twin Cities groups;
and pressuring local, state, and federal lawmakers to enact and defend policies that fight corruption, uphold democracy, protect the rights of citizens and residents, and reject authoritarianism.
Join us for an afternoon of community and action at Augsburg Park. Everyone is invited, including families with children.
This is a drop-in event, so you’re welcome to pop in for a quick hello or stick around until you’ve made the circuit through each “action station.” Grab a popsicle. Learn how recent events are affecting Minnesota. See who’s doing what in the Twin Cities, and how you can get involved. Make a sign for the No Kings event on June 14. And more!
Whether you’re angry, worried, fired up or overwhelmed, if you’re committed to a diverse and democratic America, we’d love to meet you.
We will have information about how to get involved and speak out, as well as help you find others to carpool to protests and actions with if going on your own seems like a deterrent to get out and be counted.
